Don't be blue girl. I know you loved your car dearly, but you're handling your soberity wonderfully!
It'll all come together for you again.
My daughter had her Matrix repo-ed.
Lost her house.
Lost her friends.
Lost her self respect.
Lost her job.
But through it all she has kept her sanity and health.
She is building her life back, each day.
As you will do, with time.
Don't let this set you back
I know, I say it's only a car, but this is your life we're dealing with. So it is only a car and it can be replaced one day.
You're doing super great girl!

Thank you, I know it's just a material thing, but it feels like the reposession ( i know I spelled that wrong!) signifies a failure on my part. Actually it IS - I failed to keep my job so I can make the payments! So it's more than just losing a car, you know what I mean?

I know how you feel, Slvr, through my daughters eyes, I know. Everyone of us have tasted failure. You want to spit it out, rinse your mouth. Sometimes it takes a long time to get that bitter taste out, but it will go. I hope you get through this and let it go. In time you will.

Yeah, I guess your right. My best friend has an 8 month old baby who needs a liver transplant. She told me "I hate when people cry over stupid $#*T!! At least your kids are healthy!" That snapped me right out of it!!

Personally I think if you want to cry, then cry, get mad, upset, whatever. Nothing wrong with having feelings over your car being repoe'd. I hate it when people don't let me "Feel" that is a big part of all of our problems and why we try and numb ourselves with outside sources.
The only way to get past the emotions is to go through them, not bury them.
JMHO..
You are doing great with all of this though!! Keep going girl!
You rock!!

You're absolutely right, Done. I didn't mean to say, bury those feelings or not get mad. Any time someone loses something that they have worked hard for, it hurts. Yes, deal through it, spend time on it, but then let it go. I was just worried, I guess, that SlvrMag might get stuck in those feelings and not get out.

I don't think she meant you, I think she meant my friend...or just people in general.

Didn't really mean anyone in particular. I'm so tired I didn't really even read the posts thoroughly, I think I saw where someone said, I hate it when people cry over stuff.
I just think to someone else it might be stupid, but that doesn't make it stupid too you?
You loved your car, it's even your screen name. It's not stupid.
We do have to put things into perspective, I agree, but one person's problems don't take away our feelings. If that makes any sense.
But I do think people in general try and get us to push down our feelings, I wasn't meaning anyone in particular, society is just kind of like that.

Yep. I think there is a fine line between pushing down our feelings and "letting it go". It's all a process of learning how to deal with feelings. It takes awhile to grieve for whatever...a person/animal or even an object. I still lay in bed, sometimes and want to scream over the things that have happened. (I'm still learning...lol) You can only let it go, once you've dealt with it.

Augh. I can definitly feel for you Slvrmag. Same thing happened to me. Except it cost me 3000 to get it back and 2 more days of missed work. My bf was to be making the payments and wasnt. I had 2000 in wheels and tires, my body kit, and 5000 in racing parts. I was sick to my stomach and mad as hell!!!
